Putting New Betta Fish in Tank & Aquariums

These are some tips when entering new betta fish into your tank. I know most people just get the fish home and dump the fish with that little cup of water with the fish into the aquarium.. but that's not best practice. A lot of times, bacteria in that water can really bring bad things to your already clean water in your aquarium. Things like bacteria can follow through in the waters and then pollute your water that was once clean. It seems like a small thing to just let go, but in the fish world where water clarity is very important.. it means the life of your healthy fish.

Use a Net to Remove Fish from Container

What you do is just remove your fish with a small net and be gentle with the fish. Anxiety really effects how healthy fish are and live. So when your removing the fish from the container, make sure that you don't put pressure against his or her body when your trying to get the fish into the net. And when you go to release the fish.. also make sure that the fish is free of anything and that you don't throw the fish right in front of another fish making them meet on bad terms sort of say.
